Viet Nam now has nearly 1.3 million Internet subscribers, up 173 percent over the same period last year, and more than 5.1 million users, according to the Viet Nam Network Information Centre (VNNIC).
The Viet Nam Post and Telecommunications Corporation (VNPT) is the biggest Internet service provider, with a market share of 55.7 percent, representing 706,857 subscribers.
About 4,000 domains were registered, 67 percent of which were registered domestically.
