Hanoi Telecom will offer CDMA-based mobile information service in early 2006.
Joining hands with two international partners, Hanoi Telecom is developing a CDMA2000 3G-based mobile network and building an international technology complex in Hanoi’s Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park.
According to a recent announcement, they will begin providing a mobile information service, numbered 092xxxxx, in the second quarter of 2006, and at the same time, construction of its international technology complex will be completed.
Under the technology complex project, Hanoi Telecom will build ten zones for research, development, and experimental manufacturing of hi-tech telecom and IT products in its technology complex. In addition, it will develop telecom and IT infrastructure, and an Internet connection gate via an earth satellite station.
Hanoi Telecom will provide network services for Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park through its CDMA 2000 technology – 3G-based mobile network, which meet standards of the International Telecommunications Union (ITU), with broadband services like data and image transmission at a speed of 2.4 Mbps, and computer communication card services.
