IBM Viet Nam on Wednesday introduced a new eServer p5 system, an advanced line of Unix and Linux servers that use Power5 microprocessors and Micro-Partitioning, an IBM Virtualisation Engine Technology, to achieve highly advanced computing performance for a range of business and scientific applications.
The new IBM eServer p5 systems are designed to enable clients to run multiple operating systems simultaneously and set world records for select transaction processing, Web speed, Java performance and other business applications.
Vo Tan Long, Director of IBM system group, said the new Unix system will allow businesses to respond quickly to changing market conditions on demand.
IBM was the first IT company licensed to establish its 100 percent foreign invested branch in Viet Nam.
The company has provided many IT systems and services and tranferred IBM technology to Viet Nam.
