The Viet Nam-America Medical Equipment and Pharmaceutical Business and Production Joint Stock Company (Amvibiotech Inc) has become the first unit in Viet Nam to produce HIV test sticks.
Equipped with the US technology worth 15 billion VND, Amvibiotech Inc will also produce sticks to detect pregnancy, stomach ulcers, some cancers, tuberculosis, syphilis, hepatitis, and antibodies to HIV-1 and HIV-2.
The company will also produce a test to detect the drug ecstacy.
These test sticks cost 30 percent less than those imported from the US and Germany.
