As many as 363 classrooms will be built this year for children in poverty-stricken areas in the central Highlands province of Gia Lai, according to an official from the provincial Department for Education and Training.
The construction, part of the project "Primary education for underprivileged children", is scheduled for completion in August so as to be ready on time for the 2006-2007 academic year.
Under the project, the province will also receive a donation worth VND 143 billion to build more than 1,000 classrooms for poor and remote areas in the coming five years.
