Industry wastes dump’s full potential

The introduction of a new industrial waste treatment park hopes to help cure a serious pollution problem caused by a growing emergence of industrial zones and factories in Ha Noi and in the port city of Hai Phong. The problem is the owners of these factories seem unconcerned with the pollution and few opt to use the park to treat their industrial garbage.

Science still seeks answers

Does your ministry have a mechanism to research these phenomena to help ordinary people understand them? It is the responsibility of scientists to shed light on strange phenomena [like those] reported from some places, such as the village where houses caught fire in Quang Nam in central Viet Nam, the "burning" stone in the Tay Nguyen (Central Highlands), the "healing" garden in Long An Province in the Cuu Long (Mekong) Delta region and landslides in the northern Lao Cai Province.

Locals take helm at marine reserve

The Ran Trao marine reserve in the Van Hung Commune, Van Ninh District, 60km from Nha Trang Township of Khanh Hoa Province, is the first marine reserve under the management of a local community in Viet Nam.
