Viet Nam strives to prevent use of ozone-depleting substances
Viet Nam is striving to eradicate the use of ozone-depleting substances (ODS) by 2010, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment told a press briefing held in Ha Noi on Wednesday in anticipation of the International Day for the Conservation of the Environment (Sept. 16).
Orientations to develop forests by 2010
The country will raise the total acreage of key protected forests to 5.4 million ha by 2005 and to 6 million ha by 2010 with 5.6 million ha of upstream protected forest, and 180,000 ha of coastal protected forest, according to the Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
