Mekong Enterprise Fund invests in garment company

The Mekong Enterprise Fund in April 2005 invested a total of US $1.85 million in Minh Hoang Garment Joint Stock Company. This is the eighth company into which the Mekong Enterprise Fund has invested since its launch in April 2002.

SOE equitisation needs swift changes in 2005

The National Board for Enterprise Development Renovation reported that more than 2,200 State-owned enterprises (SOEs) have been equitised to date, equivalent to 79 percent of the approved scheme on SOE restructuring, with a total registered capital of more than VND23,000 billion. About 123 such SOEs were equitised between 1992-1998, and 2,120 others between 1999- 2004.
