Vegetables and fruits exports up 31.3%

Vietnam’s total vegetables and fruits export turnover this year reaches nearly US $235 million, up 31.3% against last year, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Trade promotion helps boost exports

Trade promotion activities have contributed greatly to boosting the country’s 2005 export value to US$32 billion, a 20 percent rise over last year, according to a report delivered at a seminar on trade promotion in Hanoi on December 27.

Agricultural sector striving for a $6 billion export earning

Exports of agricultural and forestry products this year were estimated to total $5.8 billion, 29% up over 2004 according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. Many products of Vietnam like rice, pepper, and cashew nut continued to confirm their position in foreign markets.
