FDI, a thriving sector

Since 1988, Vietnam have licensed 6,583 FDI projects with a registered capital of $6.3048bn. An amount of $3.1bn has been realized.

FDI attraction hits US$3.2 billion in seven months

Since the beginning of the year, total realised foreign-direct investment (FDI) capital increased by 11.3 percent to US$1.84 billion while its budget contribution reached US$636 million (excluding crude oil), a 30.3 percent year-on-year increase, the Ministry of Planning and Investment reported.

New wave of Japanese investment heading to Vietnam

Since early this year, a huge number of Japanese multinational groups have boosted investment into Vietnam, inspiring smaller companies from the East Asian country to take similar steps.
