New moves to open up Vietnam’s market

Foreign-invested enterprises stand a chance of trading imported commodities under a new regulation applicable to foreign- invested enterprises involved in production and manufacturing in Vietnam.

Foreign investors to enjoy more preferences

Vietnam has made significant progress in drafting investment laws to create favourable conditions for foreign investors to do business in the country. Following the enactment of the Foreign Investment Law in 1987, policy makers are finalising the Common Investment Law, which is expected to be tabled at the upcoming session of the National Assembly scheduled for later this year.

Strategy to boost small businesses

The Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Development Strategy, whose first draft is now being compiled, is expected to provide a major boost to the sector.
