Construction starts for largest IZ in northern province

Work started on April 27 for the construction of Quang Chau Industrial Zone in the northern province of Bac Giang by the Sai Gon-Bac Giang Industrial Zone Joint Stock Co, an affiliate of the Sai Gon Investment Group.

Industrial production posts high growth rates

Vietnam's industrial production value in April reached VND43 trillion (US$2.69 billion) with a year-on-year increase of 17.7 percent, making a rapid leap from the slow start of the first quarter of the year, said the Ministry of Industry.

FDI hits US$2 billion in four months

Vietnam has licensed 199 investment projects with a combined registered capital of nearly US$2 billion in the past four months, representing increases of 12 percent and 32 percent, respectively, over the same period last year.
