Young volunteers grant a helping hand to community
The 2005 Summer Volunteer Campaign has attracted thousands of students to get involved in a wide range of activities such as collecting waste and cleaning up the surroundings, gathering homeless children to provide them with free tutoring, helping disadvantaged people and disseminating information on social issues including traffic safety, environmentalism and hygiene.

Vietnam Red Cross (VRC) has made great achievements in assisting disadvantaged people and deserves the noble honours awarded by the Government to the association and its leaders, said a senior National Assembly official.
Young volunteers work in 79 disadvantaged northern communes
During the more than two months of the 2005 summer voluntary campaign, 8,283 young people helped people in 79 disadvantaged communes in the northern mountainous province of Lai Chau.
