Supporting education in mountainous and remote areas

Over the past 55 years, the Vietnam Educational Labour Union has launched many movements and attached special importance to education in mountainous and remote areas.

Ethnic mothers and teachers give lessons together

In five particularly poor and difficult communes in Muong Cha district of Dien Bien mountainous province, the education and training sector has opened training courses on the bilingual education model for the commune’s cardres, pupils’ mothers and teachers.

Programme helps Kon Tum children

Children from Kon Teo Village, Dac Pxi Commune, Dac Ha District, in the Central Highlands province of Kon Tum can now attend school regularly thanks to the Primary Education for Disadvantaged Children (PEDC) programme.
