The People’s Committee of Binh Thuan Province will elevate a traditional holiday taking place on August 11-14 into the Nghinh Ong festival which aims to introduce the province’s historical relics, landscapes to domestic and foreign visitors, and promote provincial tourism development.
The 2006 Hue Festival entitled “700 years of Thuan Hoa-Phu Xuan- Thua Thien Hue - cultural heritage, integration and development” opens in the former imperial city of Hue on June 3. Many internationally renowned troupes will entertain visitors with special artistic performances.
Many people in Cho Lach, southern Ben Tre Province, long for the Doan Ngo Festival (May 5 on the lunar calendar) more than they do for Tet, for its fresh fruit, music and mud baths.
