Children’s folk melodies, glittering lanterns and traditional everyday activities have all brought Old Quarter residents back to the good old days of life in Thang Long, now known as Hanoi.
Nearly 2,000 amateur artists and artisans from 13 cities and provinces across the country are gathering in the Dong Mo resort in northern Ha Tay province, about 50km from Hanoi, for a festival to introduce visitors to their typical cultural distinctions.
