Elephant racing - a traditional festival of people in Central Highlands

The Central Highlands is inhabited by people of different ethnic minority groups including the Giarai, Bahnar, Ede, Gie Trieng Xodang, K’ho, Mo nong and others. The area is blessed by nature with vast forests, mountains and rivers, which greatly affect local people’s culture, customs and practices. Elephant racing is regarded as the most typical cultural characteristic of people in Dak Lak province.
