Nguyen Binh Khiem was born on the 6th of April 1491, in Trung Am village of Vinh Lai suburban district, Kien An province ( which is presently Trung Am hamlet of Ly Hoc commune, Vinh Bao district, Hai Phong).
The mountains and sea combined to make Hoa Lu’s picturesque landscape. Hoa Lu lays in a flat valley surrounded by the Trang An lime stone mountains, which form a natural wall protecting the old citadel.
