In the past ten years of development, the Long Binh Techno Park (Loteco) in southern Dong Nai province has attracted 50 foreign- invested projects with a total investment of more than US$240 million.
The investment mainly came from Japan, the Republic of Korea, the United States, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
In the first quarter of this year, Loteco lured three new foreign-invested projects with combined capital of US$5 million.
The park's enterprises have created jobs for more than 15,000 workers and produced a large commodity volume for export.
"Loteco Industrial Zone's success during the last ten years has promoted the development of Vietnam-Japan relations in many fields.
It is the result of our constant efforts to establish a firm and long-term relationship between the two countries," said Tatsuo Hiyarama, Japanese Consul-General Assistant.
Large corporations like Yupoong, Muto and Suzuki are operating effectively in the park. "I highly appreciate Loteco's professionalism, hospitality and friendly environment," said Lee Soo Tae, Chairman of Vietnam Dong Jin, a company specialising in motor production.
