Vietnam's political stability, administrative reform and its efforts in upgrading infrastructure facilities are the advantages which help attract foreign investors to the country, said George E. Kobrossy, General Director of Zamil Steel Vietnam (ZSV).
In a recent interview with Hanoi Moi (New Hanoi) newspaper, the ZSV General Director said Vietnam has its own advantages, namely an abundant supply of labour and clever, industrious workers. Relevant Vietnamese agencies always maintain contact with businesses to listen to their demands and help resolve difficulties and obstacles for them, Kobrossy said.
He noted that by the end of this year ZSV will put its second factory in into operation in southern Dong Nai province.
With the two factories, the first already operational in Hanoi, ZSV will increase its total capacity from 50,000 tonnes to 90,000 tonnes of pre-engineered steel buildings a year, he said, adding that his company plans to open some more sales offices in a number of provinces and cities in Vietnam.
"After being in for more than 10 years, we can affirm that we were right to decide to invest into ," Mr Kobrossy said.
