MPI licences Singapore’s Keppel Land Ltd.

The Minister of Planning and Investment presented an investment licence to the Keppel Land Ltd.’ US$35mil project at the Vietnam Investment Forum on August 17.

The Villa Riviera project aims to develop a closed zone for villas on 5.9ha of land along the Saigon River, HCM City. The zone will include 113 villas of 300-550sq.m/villa, scheduled for completion by the end of 2004.

Keppel Land Ltd. is the leading multinational real estate group of Singapore. The group’s general director Kevin Wong said that the need for high-quality housing in Vietnam is increasing and customers will see the value of Keppel’s villas with modern and unique architecture.

This group now has seven projects in Vietnam, focusing on high-grade apartment blocks and office buildings.

On August 19, the comprehensive planning for the group’s Saigon sports urban project with a total area of over 74ha, including a high-grade apartment block, a trading centre and a sport zone will be announced, according to Mr Kevin.
