The wholly foreign invested Viet Stone Giala Co. Ltd. has been licensed to exploit and process basalt stones in Gia Lai province for export.
The 30-year foreign investment project, the first of its kind licensed in the province, will hold its groundbreaking ceremony on November 15, 2003.
The province has also licensed 34 projects, totally capitalised at VND 170 billion (over US $11 million), to operate in the provincial Tra Da Industrial Zone, of which seven were put into operation.
