Thousands of the locals and tourists flocked to the Da Lat stadium to celebrate the 110th birthday anniversary of the city on November 30.
One hundreds artists of the Ho Chi Minh Opera and Ballet Theatre and 100 local amateur artists and 1,500 people joined a five part art performance. "Mountain and Forest Legend", "Gathering in Legend" "Gathering in Sound Land" "Hero City" "Flowers of New Day" and "Central Highlands Venue", names of the five parts, depicted the hardship of the ancestors in the past, glorious feats of arms and achievements in development process of Da Lat city at present.
Doctor A Yersin is considered to be the founder of this Central Highlands city. Therefore, Yersin Park was inaugurated in the heart of Da Lat city yesterday as part of activities to mark the city�€™s 110th founding anniversary. A bronze bust of the Doctor Yersin, designed by famous sculptor Pham van Hang, was erected in the centre of the park.
As a land rich in natural resources, with beautiful landscapes and a temperate climate, Da Lat is promoting its strength of tourism and development of this clean industry. From this point of view, the locals now are trying their best to build a more prosperous and beautiful Central Highlands city, deserving the title of "Flower City, Hero City".
