Nuclear power plan in pipeline
The Ministry of Industry and Trade has announced a plan to build two nuclear power plants in the central province of Ninh Thuan which will be operational from 2020 to 2022.

The value added ratio in Vietnamese industrial products have seen gradual depreciation in the past few years, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
City’s industrial output hits $7.4b
Industrial production in HCM City rose around 12.8 per cent over 2007, reaching nearly VND122 trillion (US$7.4 billion) in the first nine months of this year, according to the municipal People’s Committee’s website. Among economic sectors, foreign investors headed the growth rate at 19 per cent, recording about VND41.7 trillion ($2.5 billion) in value.
Deal on wind and hydro plant
The PetroVietnam Power Company (PV Power) and Industrias Metalurgicas Pescarmona (IMPSA) of Argentina signed an agreement to jointly build a US$2.35 billion wind and hydro power plant in Ha Noi on Tuesday.
